    If you get to Copper's before midnight you should beat the queue.

    But then you'd have to go to Copper's before midnight.

    What time does Tripod close? I think it is 4am? But I wanted to confirm. What are the lines like at 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am and 4am, each?

    Note the word legally. Coppers being home of the guards is granted a blind eye.

    Many clubs go on till 3. Won't get much past that.

    Why bother worrying about the queue. Coppers is usually ridiculous at any time.

    You can be pretty sure they are operating legally.
    They most likely have some form of Theatre licence + exemption.

    About Tripod and Dandelion. Will they be packed on a Wednesday? What's the usual gender ratio of each club, particularly this Saturday and next Wednesday? How young are the crowds there? What times have the shortest lines of people going into each club?

    Not true, they just can't legally serve alcohol past that time so most tend to close then.

    Some clubs (such as Pod, Button Factory) will stay open til around 3am even though they've stopped serving drink but it's rare you'll find anywhere opening beyond that time.
