I'm puzzled also. Cú Globach is an atheist. Therefore he also disagrees with both. Why is it hateful for one and not the other.

Of course as I see it neither amount to hate.

In fact there is substantially more anti-Catholic sentiment from other posters.
Every person who is of a religious faith disagrees with the other faiths, that is the very nature of having a particular faith, this does not equate with considering other faiths your enemy, and the same for me with no such beliefs, I disagree with the ideas and subsequent rationalisation of our existence by them and can see no logic there, but none are my enemy, and there is certainly no hate.

FFS. I give up. I'll have to put you on ignore really.:D

Which - given your failure to explain yourself - would not be that much of a change.

Some things never change Nod. You might learn some day. But I doubt it.:p

I'm amazed this thread is still going.

It's full of bile, hatred and bigotry, and not just aimed at Muslims, but in a few cases at Christians too which have nothing to do with the topic.

There's a good case for the authenticity of the Bible which I'm more than happy to discuss on the Christianity forum or by PM.

You have discussed this "good case" before and it was dealt with and shown to be false here and here. You responded by pretending to put me on ignore when you in fact did not put me on ignore.

So "good case" it is not and "happy to discuss" it you most certainly are not.

I'm a one argument at a time kind of guy. This time is the misconception that the.Bible advocates hatred of women despite their integral role in it. I think that's nonsense so I gave my take on it.

    Fair game.

No case for authenticity. it's a book of lies.

People are bitter etc. because they are very disappointed in what is the most important topic in our lives. Many are light and breezy on the subject and are not too concerned with poor answers. They are contented anyway but others want real hard facts. No wonder people are angry .Most clergy could'nt give away buns in a famine on the subject. Not all though.A few are good.

There is also a woman in the same spot some days with "Messiah? You decide" banner, handing out leaflets etc.

So it looks like the spot to be if you want to talk about religion.

The G.P.O is like the Irish version of Mecca, its were Easter Rising happened, its were everyone in Ireland has pilgrimaged to at some stage in their life. its were a lot of our ancestors have worked. So yeah its kinda sacred ina postal sort of way.

There seems to be a side debate going on re: the treatment of women. All I can speak of is personal experience. My sister got together with an Iranian and I / my late parents / her estranged friends haven't been 'allowed' talk to her since 1993.

All fine and acceptable for the sake of 'harmony' in this country, apparently. The Catholic church might be whacky in ways, but believe me, I prefer their brand of dysfunction any day.

    No it isn't!
It's a feckin Post Office where some shíte happened during a Civil War!

Half of Cork City got shot up during the civil war, but you don't see me standing outside Issacs on MacCurtain Street claiming it's a feckin Irish Mecca!

Well... incorrect. The GPO, Boland's Mills and Dublin, nowhere else, is the poster image of Irish independence. Cork is like balbriggan, known for getting burnt down by the tans and never quite recovering.
