The lack of Dark Souls in most of the categories it deserves to win is ridiculous. Also where's Child of Eden and El Shaddai in the best graphics category.

It's just a list of the years biggest sellers.

Very disappointed at the lack of Dark Souls from alot of those categories.

Although it was my set in stone GOTY until Skyrim absolutely blew me away, never expected so much from it so it's a tough call but Dark Souls wasn't even in the GOTY list so I went for Skyrim which deserves it from the picks available.

Portal 2 definitely deserves a mention also, haven't played it since release but it was just such a highly polished and enjoyable experience overall.

Uncharted3 was excellent but it just didn't quite live up to the the 2nd.

Also the fact MW3 is only in 1 category makes me happy.

I think your mixing up a fictional "Best use of graphical style in a game" category with "Most realistic depiction of brown in a game" (though I hope B:AC wins it as the mo-cap for the fights is fantastic )

Nice to see Ghost Trick in "Best handheld" though

There's far better handheld games released this year than are in that category as well. Ghost Trick and Mario Land I can agree with but the omission of Tactics Ogre, Ys Seven, Legend of Heroes, Okamiden, Radiant Historia, Solatorobo etc. are better than any Iphone game.

At least Dark Souls got a nomination. These awards are generally speaking a joke, like most video game related celebrations.

And I will not hear a bad word said about Jetpack Joyride. It's more addictive that crack cocaine.

It is a fantastic game, much better than Demons Souls and I have put in 90 hours so far.

Are these titles supposed to be platform exclusive titles? Why is there multiplatform games in the xbox360 category and not in the PS3 one?
And it they dont have to be platform exclusive, why doesn't Batman and Portal 2 make the PS3 list?

Im guessing its suppose to be exclusive only but since the xboxs list of exclusives is a joke so they needed to put a few decent games in there.

As for game of the year... i would probably have put Darksouls in there over UC3 but really... can't complain to much about it because all 5 games are worthy of the shortlist.

Even if you don't agree with all the games nominated... have to admit looking at that list that its been an incredible year for gaming.. not to mention the most anticipated catagory !!! (minus halo ofc :P )

Well I only got it last week. And poured 40 hours into it. Which hasn't happened in a long time. Goes to show how much I love it
