Fluorescent Wiring

    Hi folks,

I salvaged an old circular magnifying lamp that was destined to go to the dump. It uses a TL-E 22W fluorescent lamp. The problem is that the switch is missing (probable why it was thrown out) and all that's left are the wires.

In the attached pic, you can see the black and brown wires coming from the lamp arm, and the brown wire is connected to the white wire on the ballast. The black wires and both red wires are not connected to anything and I assume they were connected to the switch.

What I would like to do is wire it up so it's switched from the socket and have no switch on the lamp itself.

Can any of you tell me how to connect the wires in this way?

    Thanks!
