Hi all would like some help and advice please on what to buy.

Looking for a 42 -44" HDTV, for max 650 euro.

I dont need saorview with it as I have the box from lidl, tv will be used for PS3, Sky digital and my HTPC.

Not sure to go 3d, smart tv or led, its all very confusing :D

Have so far picked these, have had a Samsung 32" HD Ready tv for last 3-4 years and want something bigger and full hd to take advantage of PS3, HTPC, which I download full hd movies on and use XMBC/ Iceflims

    Samsung PS43D490ZF 3D Plasma Screen 419 Euro

Samsung UE40D5700ZF LED Smart TV 599 Euro

Given your setup I'd immediately rule out the first one. Its a plasma and its only HD ready (1024x768). Thats why its cheap!

Second one has a real nice spec, full HD,100hz. I know you dont need it but I'm pretty sure it will do saorview (dvb-t). It even has built in sat connection. Samsung picture quality is generally fantastic. I'd try to dig out a review or two before you purchase to see if there are any quirks. Did a quick google search and couldn't find much on that particular model. Price seems good for what your getting.
