Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Each night I bring my nikon to bed
    And fondle my standard lens
    But I really need a 300ml
    And so my fondling ends.

I once thought about going Nikon.
But then, I got hit with a slither.
I was slow, So I had to sign on!
    A Nikon no more,
    For Canons I whore.
    And sony will never cop-on.

    Nikon and Canon,
why do ye think ye're so great,
    there's many makers of cameras,
    probably more than eight.

If you really want to mend that old axe,
Just relax and buy a Pentax.
    (very lame poem)

I'd say ye have Seamus Heaney worried now ;)

There's no Seamus Heaney in me,
I'm about as poetic as a bee.

Use aperture or shutter speed is the photographers creed,
never use automatic; there really is no need.
or better still use manual mode,
    that is the photographers code.

    Here’s a shot I took one day
It’s a man in a field and he’s baling some hay
The horizon is straight and the sky is not blown
Yet nobody likes it. I’m beginning to frown
What have I done wrong? I’m getting no thanks
Do you know a good shot or are you all cranks?
Does it need some swans or some HDR?
Or is it my processing is so bloody poor?
Is it because I shoot with a Sony?
Should it be Canon or Nikon only?
I’m shooting in RAW and I never use P
And all my good shots I give away free.
So if I don’t get some thanks I'm leaving this forum
And I’ll upload to flickr to relieve the boredom. :D

    Expose for shadows.
    Develop for the highlights.
    Post for favourites.

Is Canon much better than Nikon
Or is it the other way round?
The fanboy debate is still raging
Though proof remains thin on the ground.

The question for science is harder
Than simply ‘who makes the best article’
They’ve been working for years to determine
Is a photon a wave or a particle?

if you really think you're crap at your
    shutter speed and your aperture
and your photos don't look swell
    ask what ken rockwell
    would do.

Based on the above posts, I think we should stick to the photos!

I wandered lonely in the crowd
That photowalks o’er Vales and Hills
When all at once I heard a shout
“’tis time for pints” not daffodils
Against the bar, far from the breeze
Cold and creamy, if you please.

    Verse 2, some hours later:

Out into God’s sweet air we went,
    but not in wonted way
For this mans face was white from drink,
and that mans face was grey
And I never saw sad men who looked so wistfully at the day.
I never saw sad men who looked with such a bleary eye
Upon that sheet of 18% grey we Irish call the sky.
We all agreed the weather was a total ball of ****e
And the only photos worth a look
Would be in Black & White.

There once was a man from nantucket,
he was addicted to using photobucket,
    His camera was his life,
helped him deal with his wife,
When it broke he said ah f**ket
