This was my cycle this morning, cycled about 10kms before i got to my friends house which is where this route starts. Great day for it! Happy with the average too for first day out in 5months!

Just scrubbed my car, nice wax. It looks so good I think I may just eat it. :D

The only car ive ever wanted to eat was jimmy bottleheads s2000 after he waxed it the first time after getting it!

I suppose when its your own its different. Certainly not a motor to get excited about but she looks good to me! :) S2000 though, that is pretty tasty. :)

    Nearly 16mph average speed :)
    That's fairly decent.

When I used to cycle a small bit I used do out to Macroom through the Lee Valley and back in the main road in about 3 hours 10 mins of actual cycling, was 45 miles ish.

On shorter spins like Carrigaline and back I used to be slower for some reason :pac:

Make sure you invest in some gaviscon before you tuck in. The steering wheel can be quite heavy. My sister just called me to say that an e46 and e30 have just been caught having a dice on the Gorey by pass. She said she didnt think an e30 could go that fast. Then i had to explain to her that they dont get older. Just faster :p

Wouldn't think so tbh, might do the very odd cycle for the benefit of getting away and having a good head clear but not really into actual cycling if you see what I mean.

Would have to upgrade to a more modern steed too if I was.

If its in good nick, which it looks, then i cant see much reason to upgrade. Its grand for a toddle around on though which is perfect for a head clear i understand you there

The big downgrade has happened. 500 quid with NCT until feb next year and taxed until the summer and my insurance is expected to fall by half. The 1.4 is nippy enough to keep up with traffic. Needs two front tyres though

First week is the hardest. Then once you get used to it you will actually miss your cycle if you have to stop for some reason. I walk from Phibsboro to St Stephens Green most mornings and then reverse in the evenings. Its quicker to walk half the way and hop on a bus than bus it the whole way home in the evenings.

i take my beastly bulldog out for a walk every evening, that's enough :P

    Deffo.

I'd certainly recommend it again. Once I left I was paying a helll of a lot more attention to the road and not what everyone else was doing. Made a change :)

Think we've found the source of the problem. He's such a manly man that he was too manly for the car. :pac:
