Its the style I was going for....wouldn't be a fan of mad coloured wheels, but then I might go crazy on the wheels.

Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it do it! I got a quote to get my wheels done in purple. I would love to but im afraid it would ruin the look of the car. Its funky but i fear coloured wheels will just make it look trashy if that makes sense. That said they look cool on some cars.

Link NSFW and men boys with fragile egos, a news story which illustrates the type of equipment horses are born with but seldom fitted as standard in cars!!

Random idea of the week idea.

Take an old Navara or Hilux, an AWD model. Cut the rear driveshaft, modify it somehow so that the engine only drives the front wheels.

Then fill the bed with a slab of batteries, and hook up a decent electric motor and attendant hardware to the rear axle.

    Instant Opel Ampera.

Electric drive for those short journeys or city journeys when the diesel engine won't get up to temperature. Diesel power for the long runs. Hybrid power for raw shove. Regenerative braking down hills. Accessories like Aircon and power steering that don't always work properly, handling that will verge on disturbing and a nightmare of controls for the driver with two separate drivetrains the play with.

    Probably a dumb idea.

But doubtless not a random one.

Never seen a hearse without a full conservatory on the back to see the passenger; a mate of mine refers to my small car as the pets' hearse. UNfortunately I have to agree that there is a similarity to an undersized hearse.

Any of you Cork peeps know some good venues for a stag of 12?

We have been recommended Soho Bar

Also looking for a good Rugby bar ??

Any other suggestions for a large group from "The Pale" ?

Soho wouldn't be at all bad as a place to go but when busy getting served can be an ordeal, one of those pubs with lots of bar stools which means getting to the bar can be a ball ache. If ye are in there early though ye could quite possibly get an alcove all to yourselves.

The Rob Roy is a good place to watch a rugby match, small enough place but good crowd really, if ye are 25/30 ish, it's not a young persons pub (ie 18 to 23s wouldn't flock there).
