The Rover has completed 1000 miles under my ownership today and is going well so far. I'm averaging 40mpg.

I haven't booked it in for the NCT yet as I was away but it has been vrtd, taxed and insured once I brought it into the country. I got a fitted plate for the rear but not sure if it will pass an NCT so I'll wait and see on that one.

Other than that everyone is amazed at the condition. I keep getting asked why I bought a Jag too which is nice

Mind you I nearly had a nasty bang this evening when a drunk driver decided he wanted to be on my side of the road too while I over took him

Was the VRT calculator indicative of what they charged?

Great. I look like my own African cousin after a week in the sun.

May I recommend Madrid to anyone who is interested. I loved it so much I'm going back this summer. Sadly I didn't fully enjoy it after putting my back out lifting a suitcase in Dublin airport while queueing for departure.

I ended up taking some very strong medication after reaching Madrid to kill the pain

Yeeeeeah.... That would have been Colm and his Jag....

Yep. After a bit of research the correct engine size is 1951cc, the other engine option is the 2L V6 which is 1998cc. There was only 70e in the difference in the end.

Very happy with it RJ if you fancy a spin in it if you ever decide to change. Kick down is fun on the autobox. Still learning how to use it properly though

Latest is it's being collected next week but as we know we'll not hold out breath

Is the next meet at Atlas or has there been any word about it?

I actually moved it today as it was starting to get consumed by greenery.

Nothing confirmed, I'm trying to put some things in place my end before I clear anything with the powers that be here.
