Pics from the ad. I dont have any yet.
    2001 Saab 9-5 SE 2.0t
    103,000 Miles
    NCT Untill May 2013
    Tax to end of April
    Just fully serviced for NCT.
Fairly good service history on it.
Leather, climate control, cruise control, fancy computer.
Half tank of petrol in it :D

    Bad points.
Couple of marks, obviously. Nothing I cant live with or be bothered to fix.
    Only one key.
Dead pixels in SID. This is a must to replace, as it annoys the hell out of me.

Thats it. I adore the car. I have just put 40 miles on it spinning around. I hated the megane I had before, this has me excited aabout driving again. Lots of power (have to keep an eye on the speedo) The cruise control could be a Godsend here. Got a great deal on it too. In the end it cost me €150 to upgrade from the gammy 02 megane that I couldnt drive through crapness and discomfort to this.

I am happy today. I am also an official bangernomicite!

Lads, this is a Motoring forum. Off topic this thread may be but that's just a little bit overly cosy. Anyone coming onto boards and onto the Motors forum can see this thread.

It's a beast. Next time you are spinning through the 'briggan you can blow it down the m1.
Checked parkers there. 150 bhp, 0-60 9.0s, 134 mph

No, that was an 02 arc. This one was a scot in artane. Has it 8 months. Bought it from a guy in work. He had an Octavia estate on English plates in the garden his dad had given him, so he was dumping the older car. So he says anyway.

    Do you think that's genuine?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,930 ✭✭✭✭challengemaster

The worst part is, I'd actually believe it's genuine.

I'd be very surprised if it was tbh.

Its a Brake disc worn to the thickness of a CD. They are typically 20mm or more in thickness

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,455 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Supposed to be a brake disc

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,694 ✭✭✭✭L-M

Surely the pads wouldn't of lasted long enough for it to wear that perfectly and sure if the pads were changed someone would have advised them the discs need replacing.

Seems a bit of a sceal to me.

There is no way that a brake disc that is subjected to the heat and pressures of even a normal drive would work at that thickness.
