    Ok,

We've decided on the details for the meets. The first one will be taking place on Saturday 21st January at the Midway services in Portlaise from 12 o'clock. All the information needed is here, although the times to get there are a bit off. It's usually about 90 minutes from Cork I find, a little less than an hour from Dublin.

The central location is the best compromise for everyone, although if we get the ball rolling there is scope for regional meets too. I'll start a thread about it closer to the date so this is just to get the word out there now...

Think I'll have to make the effort to finally get to a motors meet...

The skyline resides in Galway now, although I've been talking to the owner since and he said he's up in Dublin in it a fair bit.

I saw it a few days ago, it's still looking well.

Tennets is actually a nice, cheap bear. There's nothing at all wrong with it. Every beer there was fantastic bar the one I didn't drink which was the 12.2% one, lol.

... getting the bus into town, only a euro sixty, leg room very poor and no totty. Better than trying to get a parking space though.

Just saw a dude in full biker leathers + helmet buying a trolley load of stuff in Tesco. Keep picturing him getting as far as the bike and having that "Oh sh1t!" moment.

No, but when you drink 3-4 times a week it saves the gut :)

No totty on the bus? That's the only reason I ever take the bus

The sad moment when you get excited about your tax disc. I feel your pain. Paying my Motor Tax was a painless task. It's life altering and financially crippling now ! :/

I bought myself a new Hose today so that I can easily hook up the Karcher for some snow foam action over the next few days, given that it is ridiculously mild at the moment.

Also tried to get a spare key cut for the car but Crothers decided to be closed and the guy sitting in at the desk I could see through the window didn't seem to be bothered about getting up for me...

The local ford garage told us that "these rarely give trouble and that my gearbox issue was almost unheard of"

Christmas related? Fitting this badboy either tomorrow or St Stephens day, good times! :pac:

    Quick question.

It depends, different years and different models have different outputs. There are two different engines badged as an e200 a 1.8 and a 2.0.

    2004 1.8

Wiki says 180 but Carfolio says 160.

I've got 2 power outputs for an 04 e200 1.8, 163 or 170. Does your logbook not say?

It's not me looking at one. Just doing a bit of re-search on behalf of my uncle who's looking into buying one after the new year.

It will be a few years before I'll be driving a car of its class :P

    Thanks anyway doc :)

I'd be advising him to make sure he has deep pockets and knows someone who is a whizz with car electronics!

Stuck in Third gear. Crawling along in limp-home mode trying to get it home. Big line of traffic behind.

Windows open. Volume up. Make the best of a bad situation.
