Just noticed this actually. Visible smoke from the exhaust in one of the pictures. I hope it was just started from cold

I've had 3 four cylinder K series engined cars, plenty of smoke out the exhaust isn't at all unusual even when warm (and without it being coolant too).

The XR3i weren't mental to be fair, slightly over 100bhp iirc.

Aye. In the MGF and MGTF, there's no need for seat heating either. The k-series engine will give you a proper roasting by default :) Defo no freezing, even when the roof is down in the winter.

I'd say there's a decent chance it won't shift for a while, don't forget, not many folks in a position to buy the likes of that.

Had to call my GF's dad to ask him how to start the car I got from them.
Very embarressing really, I didn't realise it had a stearing lock on it and I couldn't figure out how to turn the key in the ignition... One phone call and a twist of the wheel later and I now know how to start my car. :o:p

Sure, but your E30 has a serious identity crisis. No wonder it's that quick.

Obviously they had no clue. Oh wait... they were driving a can of sardines with a hairdrier attached to what is supposed to be the engine. No wonder, they didn't have a clue.

Is the Focus ST really only 170bhp? A Cooper S is 184bhp or thereabouts. I always thought the ST was like an XR3i mental machine; am I showing my age?

The current Focus ST is 220bhp, but the previous version was 170bhp

You'd be shocked by how many people come back into the garage when collecting their cars claiming we have broken their ignition because of the above situation.

It still doesn't beat the elderly woman who spent 40 mins in the car park cutting out and saying we'd done something wrong to her car after having a new clutch fitted......she simply couldn't adjust to the new biting point.

It's reasuring to know I'm not the only person to do this. Haha
I'll say it right now, I'll never make this mistake again.
