Our mechanic is probably one of the best mechanics I've ever seen, he's an absolute wizard, but when it comes to moving cars in and out the Bossman always told me to do it. The mechanic would be liable to stick it into a wall or something, he's one of the worst drivers I've ever seen. Even when we needed to drive a car to listen for noises etc when diagnosing a problem somebody else in the garage would have to drive him around the industrial estate.

He takes the bus everywhere he needs to go :pac:

My mechanic is an indy and his walls on both side are bendy.

They used be a challenge until I started work in my current job where a twat with the walls is a rite of initiation :D Your first twat and you hear the history of 10 years of prangs!

I'm contemplating the meet, I shall see closer to the time how I'm sorted.

I guess it depends mostly on whether I go out that Friday night or not though. :D

There's three things holding me back

    1. I need to hoover my Car
    2. I need to wash my Car.
    3. I'm pretty skint.
    4. I've got a bald tyre on the Drivers side and can imagine the abuse I'd get.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,106 ✭✭✭dar83

Hmmm, I hadn't considered these things yet. But I think you should go anyway, if anything that tyre will take the attention off anything wrong with my car. ;) haha.

Oh and I think Ardennes will be washing cars on the day. That's the rumour anyway...

    He's not going because he's actually EPM's Rover-loving alter-ego. ;)

So, without help from realoem etc, guess how much for a new headliner for the 8er (not including the sunroof cover and other parts).

Closest tenner gets a hug :)

I'm gonna go with €320. Keep the hug for those who need it (Octavia owners).

Its about another 500 plus vat for the sunroof cover.

    Joke.

Going anthracite from this crowd as per posts elsewhere. PITA job though but I've stripped a few cars at this stage.

Should look okay once I plasticoat the white plastics/trims.
