2nd year WHV question

Hey everybody just 2 quick questions. I'm not doing farmwork or anything but I do work in the Outback for weeks at a time. I'm guessing this counts towards my 88 days?

And I heard that your 2nd year WHV effectively counts as a new visa so if I work with this company up till my new visa kicks in (because it's within the 6 months) then when my 2nd year visa kicks in I can work with the same company for another 6 months. Is this true?
