How much should my premium rise?

    Hi,
I had some flood damage last week in my kitchen/living room.
The following is totally wrecked: timber floor, carpet, some units and an undersink heater.
Also damaged but maybe ok - 3 piece suite, dishwasher, computer cabinet.
I've an insurance assessor coming out today to look at damage.
Has anyone put in a similar claim before and if so how much did your insurance premuim go up by?

Mine went up 50 euro after 8k flood damage last year! Or about 17 percent.

I think this will be more at home in the Banking & Insurance & Pensions forum.

    Moved from Prices/costs

Thanks thats what I'm trying to find out. . . what percentage my premium will rise. Just want to see what I'm offered from them first and then make up my mind if its worth claiming or not. Judging by how you got on it definitely is.

Premium might or might no go up but you could face a flood/water damage excess of up to 10K for the future. if you are in a flood zone, you might not even get cover next year from your insurer.
