Hmm, I suspect that this has been done to death (many times) in the motoring forum.

Depending on the car, they may or may not be 'Fog lights', take the Nissan Micra for example, the 'fogs' on the front of that little thing are a total curse, and a real hazzard to oncoming traffic!

Here everybody needs to lay off the micra drivers!
Everyone around here blames them for everything.

I own a micra and I do not drive with fog lights on when there's no fog, and I do not drive like a granny!

One thing almost as bad as Nissan Micra drivers is truck drivers driving along with so many lights on their cabs that you can see the fuckers from space.

I flashed one the other day because I thought he had his full lights on. Big mistake. He flashed his lights in return & I still have black spots on my eyes from where he burned my corneas.

2 lights is enough you fucktards!!!

With an engine size of 1198cc, a 0-60mph of over 13 seconds & a top speed of just over 100mph, it's impossible not to drive a Nissan Micra like a granny.

They are the ultimate Granny Mobiles.

    Oh my god!!!
    Yes, of course I do!
I also drive way over the speed limit most of the time - I can't handle slow drivers, they drive me insane.
And yes I know 'speed kills' and all that, but I just cannot handle driving slow.
Anyway, I drive on motorways most of the time.

I usually see 1 out of every 10 cars with front fogs on and think the driver is an idiot. Last night I drove from Ennis to Kildare and it was 1 out of every 10 with the fronts fogs off or who switched full beams off.

Seriously the majority of drivers around Limerick haven't a ****ing clue how to use their lights. I gave up flashing them after a short while. It worked at first, they would turn off the full beams but soon they basically just started to turn them off and put them on 1 second later blinding me again. It was like the think I was warning them of a speed van or something. I just laughed and am glad I don't have to go back there again :/

Also you mention you don't drive like a granny or use fogs but do you turn the micra like it's towing a 40ft trailer?

All the taxi's in my town (all driving Pug 406's) have their fog lights on 24/7. They are worse than full beams, yet nothing is said to them?
But when I was driving a modified car years ago I had my fog lights one evening and I got pulled over by the cops and warned about them, go figure...
Some day they will all wake up to see their fog lights smashed.

Its a strange phenomon alright, you see it a lot in 3rd world countries where people try to bling-up their image by driving with their front fog lights on 'to give the impression of being cool' I guess? or maybe out of sheer ignorance?

The really annoying thing is that you can't dip front fogs like you can dipped beams, hence the fogs always beam out straight ahead, and if you have a passenger in the back then the fogs lift up to dazzle oncoming traffic! Car lights (the use of) sould be part of driving lessons and the driving test itself.

I've seen an RSA approved driving instructor driving around my area with fogs on.
I've heard friends say that they use them to look out for potholes (not a bad excuse to be fair, still no excuse for blinding oncomers though).

The one thing that gets me about idiots using them at night are the f*cktards that have their side lights on and their fogs...but NOT their dipped heads! For jesus sake they don't even light the road up further than 5 metres in front of the car.
