    Would someone be able to summarise the stereotypical views held by the weightlifting community wrt steroid use.

    Based on my reading of the Pendlay forum it appears the Americans believe every European and Asian medallist uses PED. Some believe they need to get with the programme and start using too to even the playing feel. Others feel that because PED usage is against the rules, using them is cheating fullstop. Some people people who use PED should get life time bans.
