Having a storage heating problem. Contactor isn't puling it. No one else in the block is having a problem so I'm wondering if it's a relay problem. I have attached a picture of the ESB timeclock. It reads 8.30 all the time, should it be rotating or is the face just for setting initally?

That figures. Remember this is an ESB time clock.

have you disconnected the switched live connection to the contactor
then put a live wire off the lighting mcb onto the contactor
this will indicate if you have a contactor problem or if the problem is on the switching side

also make sure all thermostats are turned up fully

NOTE if you are not an electrician do not open the cover of the consumer unit
this is for someone who knows what they are doing
    Electricity kills

It is possible that there is a 2nd or 3rd fault, but the chances are once the timeclock issue is resolved it will be sorted.

    Hi Effects,

Yes the clock should be rotating. If the timeclock is stuck, then this would need to be fixed for you by ESB Networks.

This can be arranged through your electricity supplier-if this is ESB Electric Ireland, you can respond here and I can arrange it for you or you can call us on 1850 372 372. If you are registered with another supplier, you would need to contact them to arrange the service order.

    Hope this helps,

    Orla
