Groundworks contractor in Galway

    hi all,

    I was wondering if anyone can recommend a groundworks contractor in galway? i basically have a few jobs need doing in the new year like front wall, kerbing and drainage, tarmac etc and was hoping to get in one contractor to do the lot. I would appreciate if anyone could recommend one to me? I about 5 miles outside galway city... PM me details if you can

    indeed! to be honest I'm just going to put in the 2 front pillars in limestone to hang the gates off and then just do the rest in concrete block and face it off or plaster it at a later stage... not many granite walls out my way but they are nice in fairness! i presume the granite is a good but more expensive than the limestone?

    way more labour , highly specialised.

    Get a blockie to do the blocks, loads of them around nowadays and they price per block...around 50c per would be right. Some blockies can also do limestone pillars.

    Find a nice recentish tarmac/kerbing job, go in and ask the homeowner who did it and what they thought of them. Get three quotes once you find 3 contractors.

    Walls and groundwork are separate specialties.
