    Hello,

I was wondering is the Naas Duathlon Race series held January, February and March going ahead in 2012? It's a great race and well run.

    Regards,

Hi, Wish I'd seen this post before. We're back on sun 22nd Jan, 19th Feb, & 25th Mar so I hope you can make it.

To the guy who had the problem with the Garda, sorry. I do remember we had a problem on one day but in general they're very helpful. This is the only time in 5 years we had a complaint. We also penalised a bunch of drafters that day - about 6 if I remember correctly.

We'll take your comments on board.

Hoping to do this with a few friends.
Based on previous years, will it be a mix of competitors from pro to beginner?
    Wave starts?

Hi, we'll be following the same format as before so everyone starts together. We would only introduce wave starts if the numbers get too big.

If that happens we'll make a call in advance and advise people what the plan is.

    From: http://www.runireland.com/events/Naas-Duathlon-Series

"The date's of the races are
    race One : 22nd Jan 2012
    race two : 19th Feb 2012
    race three : 25th March 2012

    Race Distances:
    3.5km run
    20km bike
    3.5km run

One day Licence will be asked on the day for non Triathlon Ireland Members.

To purchase a one day licence visit :

    http://www.triathlonireland.com/one-day-licence.html

    For more details visit :

    Naas Race Series https://plus.google.com/114124949092642935864/posts?hl=en"

The one day license is €10.

To sign up for a year license it's €53.
Worth the investment if you're planning to do all 3 races, and the Phoenix Park Duathlon series in May, June, July & August.

Wishful think on my behalf on squeezing in all of these this year :D

All standards are very welcome. First timers should see this as the ideal way to get into the sport.

Would like to do this, but don't have access to a car to get down there,
Is their a train or a bus I can take from Dublin to the event?

bus eireann run regular services to naas town centre and it would be a 15 minute cycle out to punchestown from there
