Hey everyone.. Just found the forum, and think its pretty cool to have one on where you live..

Does anyone know of any kind of little clubs for kids?
I have four year old twins and with the evenings getting dark early I thought there might be some kind of kids club, or something along them lines,

Also if there is any sport activities they can do, I thought I seen a kids hip hop class been advertised in superquinn before.

Any recemondations appreciated... Football, Karate, Dancing.... Anything to wear them down lol

    Graham

    Hi Graham,

Alot of the clubs in Greystones especially for boys dont take them till they are over six. But if you call in the Charlesland sport center they have a list of activities for younger kids. I know there is a soccer club for younger boys on a Sunday morning there so ask them about that also.

Last year I tried to enroll my then 5 year old son and his friend in Hip hop/break dancing classes in the theatre but after one class they said it would be better if they waited till they were older as it hard for them to teach younger kids and to be honest their attention span goes after 10 mins!!! A lot of the summer clubs/Easter camps are the same so you have to check what age group they take.

There is a Tikwando club that is on every Wed & Sun in the St killian parish hall run by top Teacher in Ireland again I dont know if they take 4 year olds.

There are a lot of Drama/singing/music groups that take younger children just check notice boards in Supervalu/ Superquinn etc.
Sinead O Carroll who use to be in the girl band Bewitched runs a very successful Dance club for children too, here is her link on Facebook.....

Here is a link for a Parents & toddlers group in Greystones on Facebook also and I am sure they can point you in the right direction......

There is also a music/singing group that meet in Charlesland Commuity Centre that teach to different age groups starting from very young, here is their website....

Hope some of this info helps you in some way:D

The Taekwon Do classes are excellent and they take 4 year olds and up. We have the kids down there Wed and Sat and they love it. The instructor is Master Kenneth Wheatley and I can't recommend it highly enough in terms of physical and personal development. Great fun and games and they get the TKD tenets drummed into them - Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self control, Indomitable spirit!
