Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just noticed this being discussed on twitter. It seems M-1 are looking to co promote this fight with the UFC and have it in Russia.

Obviously it's highly unlikely this will come to pass but all politics aside does anyone actually want to see this fight? what do you guys think?

I think M1 are desperate and no interest in it atm

It'll never happen, at least as a co-promotion.

UFC don't need Fedor or M-1

    LOL
    GTFO M1.

They held on to their golden goose too long and now he's not worth near as much. He could stil fight under Zuffa, but it will never be co-promoted.

UFC wouldn't co-promote when fedor was the most prized fight in MMA. They will not co-promote when about 50% of the paying public think he's a washed up can.

I think fedor would beat velasquez if he fought the right right.

Crazy and sad to think despite his losses Fedor would be a challange to any heavyweight in the UFC and we'll never see it.

Think he'd be a bigger threat to Dos Santos than Velasquez.

Yeah, the fact that M-1 are still looking for co-promotion shows how diluded they are. It would be nice to see fedor in the UFC though, even if he doesnt have the aura of invincibility he once had, there would still be some great matchups for him.

this will never happen, fedor doesnt have anywhere near the pulling power he used to have, for 2 reasons, his obvious losses, and the sport has been growing very fast the last few years, without him, so many new fans wouldnt give a ****

and ufc will never co promote with a mickey mouse organisation like M1

I think this is just M1 putting a stupid offer out there publicly so that they can turn around to Fedor and say 'hey, we tried' and make the UFC out to be the bad guys. He has been critical of M1 lately for not getting him enough fights.

They've got to know that the UFC have no interest in dealing with them. They would still sign Fedor as an independent agent in a shot but they want nothing to do with M1 or any co-promotion malarky.

UFC President Dana F. White was reached on twitter and questioned directly about the possibilty:
    Fred Munoz
@danawhite are the rumors about u and Fedor possibly signing a deal true?
In a moment that reinforces the idea that communication in MMA would be facilitated if only White stopped holding back his feelings, and simply spoke his mind for once, White replied:
    hell no!!

    That solves the mystery!
