Hi RC. Finally getting a chance to pull some more cards. Hopefully Melodi and I will make a good tag team The one that came out for you is the Seven of Wands. Wands deal with the adventure of our lifes journey, and our use of creativity and imagination in our lives. In this card, you are shown as someone who has made great progress in getting where you want to be, you seem to have great strength of purpose and you are sticking with your ambitions. However, at the moment it seems that external influences are getting in your way. Mainly, other people with their own agendas are creating a barrier against you. You got the Emperor, reversed, and in this case I'm going to read this card as it stands rather than pull another. We have had the Emperor before. He is a regal man seated on a throne, with the world in one hand, and lightening bolts in the other. As mentioned before, the Wands are concerned with our imagination and creativity, and that instinctive spark that drives us in our lives. For you, the Page seems to indicate an inner need to return to something you did before. This is not something you have admitted openly, its still an idea or wish in your head. Hi, i often use my set of tarots to answer a question using the one card too. The book that accompanied my set has a brief "meaning" for each card so sometimes unless its obvious some cards dont make sense to me. I've searched online and found numerous different meanings for the same card so was wondering what you used yourself when learing the meanings?

The cards I use are the mythic tarot. Each has a complex story based on the Greek myths. The book with the cards tells the story, then gives a brief divinatory meaning for the card, based on its story. I tend to use the meanings quite loosely, personalising them based on what details in the picture seem prominent, and how those details add to or alter the meaning.

Cheers, just noticing a couple of posts above that in my book the Ten of Swords is "the worst card in the deck"! notes disaster lol. for a one card answer i just use it as a definite no to the question i asked!

This was another time that I had a card drop from the pack, and this is the one I will read for you. It is the Five of Swords. In it, a crowned angel holding five swords points sternly at a figure seated on the ground. It is a card about accepting our limits.

Braidman, you got the Moon, which has come up before and in spite of shuffling your cards a second time it came up again so I guess its the one for you! I turned a few cards for you, the first ones have come up here before, and the first unique one was the Ten of Wands. Though all the cards that came up seemed to be showing difficult situations; too many people around you interfering or causing hassle. The Ten shows a weary figure bowed down beneath ten flaming wands. It is telling you that right now, your responsibilities are a heavy burden. You have lost your creative spark simply because life is making too many demands on you. Rather than fighting this situation you are defeated by it and feel overwhelmed. Mostly you end up doing things for others, leaving no time for yourself. You are being told by this card that you need to say no to others. Stop letting them place their problems on your shoulders. Again, I think a card has shown up a second time. This time its the Four of Wands. This card's message is that you have done well and achieved much, people are proud of you. But the real work has yet to begin. In the next year you will really roll you sleeves up and work hard. Long hours and concentration are shown. A woman you are close to will be perplexed by a seeming change of attitude from you. You will need to be understanding towards this person and reassure them all is ok. A man will irritate by being too needy. All in all you are being reminded not to neglect those close to you in the coming year even though you will be pressurised and busy.
