I'm pretty sure that you'll be doing time in Mountjoy for this.

This person would have to go to hospital and have tests done to see if they have food poisoning and how they got it.
If it was from the chipper then you are probably responsible.

yep this comes under attempted murder.

Well aren't you the friendly towns chippy having numbers of all your customers!

Just send him the names and numbers of all the people you served that evening and see if any of them ordered the same food and got food poisoning. Surely you could use this as your defence in court.

Also, why do you give your mobile number to people that you try to kill?

    Rookie mistake.

tell him to prove it, it could be a 24 hour bug he has, too many pints after or maybe a bad pint. There are to many variables.

    proof or you won't pay

Tell them you will need proof of their 'Rusty Water' before ye can proceed with any investigations!

All puns aside, accept no liability until a fecal test has been done, keep a sample of what he purchased, for an independant test. Food poisoning generally takes 6 hours to develop.

Until then, he can burger off.

Never mind OP, you'll get him next time. No one ever said murder was easy.

does he not like chips that much?

    very odd meal

It's up to him to prove that it was your food which caused it.
Any liability would be with the owner, not you.
And if the texts continue, don't be afraid to contact the Gardai.

I think it's only fair that all of us here in After Hours get some free samples of your chips and battered sausages so we can perform a proper analysis of the situation.

The burden of proof is on him. Tell him to get tests done on his poo or GTFO.

An out of court settlement of a free snack box would sort this thing out! :D

I drank 14 pints last night and was sick this morning. Must have been that burger i got.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭Teyla Emmagan

I don't think you can get food poisoning from anything deep fried. Unless it was completely laden with disease beforehand.

Also, who goes to a doctor with food poisoning?!

Food poisoning can take up to 7 days to develop, it has been known to take longer in some cases.

Ooh didn't realise it was possible to sue the chef if you get food poisoning

There are Chinese and Indians all OVER the place who owe me

It's only real food poisoning if you have to shit in the toilet and puke in the sink at the same time.
