Tonight, in the wee hours of the morning in little known Canton Ohio, Aisling Daly will compete in arguably the biggest fight in Irish MMA this year. Aisling has travelled back to the Buck-Eye State to defend the title she won by defeating hometown favourite Jessica Eye back in April. Aisling is carrying the hopes of the nation but there is nobody better to deal with the expectations than Ais "The Bash."

Ais travelled out earlier in the week with long-time coach John Kavanagh to prepare for one of the biggest fights in the Drimnagh native 's career and thanks to some candid video blogs and twitter updates we have been able to follow "Team Bash's" progress on her mission for glory! Canton seems like a cool little spot in fairness. We have learned that it is the county seat of the epicly named Stark County, it has suffered heavily from the decline of mining but is home to a great Irish bar and a nice Barnes and Noble. But the fight is what really matters this week!

Check out a sample video blog from this week:

Ais will defend her NAAFS 125LB World Championship belt against Kelly Warren who fights out of Greg Jackson's camp (Jackson vs. Kavanagh aye?) and holds a 3-0 record. Yesterday Aisling made weight, in her words "like a Boss" after a smooth cut - which saw the Drimnagh native well ahead of schedule earlier in the week, the same could not be said for her opponent who needed several attempts before the 125lb limit. Over 4,000 fans are expected to attend this event and the event is being stream via the site http://naafs.biz/site/

Let's all get behind Aisling - she is one of the coolest people in the Irish MMA community, a proper lady and a proper bad-ass. C'mon Aisy / C'mon Ireland

    G'wan Ais!

If MMA was a more mainstream sport Ais would easily be held up as one of Ireland's greatest sportspeople!
