Is risen worth getting for a tenner? Is it very buggy?

If you played and liked the Gothic series ( which was very buggy but still amazing RPG games, very challenging and immersive ) then you will like Riven.

I did and I loved it ... although it is a resource hog !

I grabbed Orcs Must Die! + DLC and Limbo yesterday - both were on my (fairly small) wishlist so mightn't get anything else in this sale, as I've way too many unplayed games. Haven't even got Skyrim yet, will wait until I've finally finished Mass Effect 2 and it will hopefully be cheaper at / after Christmas...

Few bugs yes but I didn't find any game breaking. But then again I am a fan of the series so I am quite Biased :3

If you get annoyed at bugs easily then I would not recommend

I'm really curious to see how much of a trainwreck it really is but even a fiver is too much for it.

Try the demo from XBL or PSN. Even €3 would be pushing it.

I don't know about the 3D games but the first two are definitely worth 60 cent each.

Man I am so happy with myself for ordering that, and cancelling it a day or so before it shipped.

All this talk of sales makes me worry about my download quota...

Support the provision of a Steam Content Server by Vodafone (or at least badger them about it :D)

Got Fallout: New Vegas plus some DLC and Saints Row 2.

    Allow me to quote myself

DO NOT BUY ANY GAME THAT ISN'T ON DAILY OFFER! IF THE GAME YOU WANT HASN'T APPEARED YET AND IT'S THE FINAL DAY OF THE SALE THEN, AND ONLY THEN, IS IT SAFE TO BUY THAT GAME.

Unless you really, really want it in which case why have you not got it already!

    :p

Question: Can you only buy these deals on the respective days or can I still get yesterdays deals today or later in the week?

Need to pick up the Oddbox that's just fantastic value, great games!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,091 ✭✭✭Antar Bolaeisk

The daily deals are only available within a 24 hour window (6pm-6pm), though they generally do a recap sale of the best sellers on the final day. The general deals will be available throughout.

Wish i'd seen your advice yesterday. :( Bought two fallout dlc yesterday and saw they were cut today. Could have bought the whole lot today for just one euro more.

First time buying stuff from a steam sale though so ill know for next time.

Ah it is a little bit annoying but who can argue, €9.99 is still tremendous value for the game.
