Is the word 'Scumbag' the most used word on AH?

Whenever i log in all i see is scumbag this and scumbag that

i honestly think most of the users of this forum are from D4...thats their favorite word for people poorer than them

I agree that it's a bit overused.

What really bugs me about that is that it's reduced the meaning of the word, which used to be quite wide-ranging, allowing it to be used for all manner of arseholery.

I think we should make an official distinction between the words "scumbag" and "skanger."

Bloody scumbags, ruining a perfectly cromulent word like "scumbag!"

It's probably "the" or "to" that is used most. But "scumbag" does get used a lot also. Bloody scumbags everywhere!!!

I havent noticed the word scumbag being over used but I kind of agree with your D4 point. There is a lot of snobbery in AH. Unfortunately thats the joy of the web, I think. It's harder to avoid the people who bug you here than in the real world.

I agree there is obnoxious snobbery on AH but you don't have to be from D4 to be a snob, and sometimes the term is only used to refer to behaviour, no mention of where the person is from. Often people from communities blighted with anti social behaviour and intimidation will use the term.
Disingenuous to say it's often applied to people simply for being poor - and you certainly don't have to be poor to be a scumbag.
