Could anyone point me to some good equestrian recruitment agencies that offer placements over seas? I'm trying to find information but I'm comming up blank. I'm finishing my degree next May (marketing degree), so I'll be looking for the next year. I will have my BHS stage 1 by then and hopefully my stage 2.

I do have relevant experience in the equestrian field, I'm mostly looking to work over seas just to get some life experiences and find out if it's really what I want to do.

    Hi

Try http://www.equipeople.com/ They are on facebook and seem to get interesting roles.

http://www.yardandgroom.com/jobs/index.aspx - seems to have lots of varied roles as well

Hi, that is a similar situation to me, only I am going in January. I looked on equipeople and I got sent a word document all about going to Australia, so if you email them they will come back to you very soon. The good thing with them is they help you out with a work permit. I dont know how much they charge for getting you a job and all that though. www.equipeopleabroad.com has got lots of info on Aus and NZ.

I have also been looking on www.visitoz.org which give you an orientation week and then sort you out with a job. Generally they place you on a 'station' which is what they call ranches and this can be with cattle or sheep, etc. They seem to use horses on the farms too but if you want a place specifically with horses you can probably chat to them about it.

http://www.equinestaff.com.au/ is another one though I dont know much about it, it appears to be mainly racing jobs.
I am like you in that I would love to see if a job with horses is for me but the problem I have (well it is really a problem in my head anyway) is that I dont think I have enough practical experience, have been in an office for the last 5 years, and I have never had paid work with horses, have never owned my own, etc so I think that would go against me. However you dont know if you dont try so I think if you get your foot in the door somewhere and work hard, make a name for yourself and I reckon you would do well. thats what i keep telling myself anyway. Good luck with it, if I come across any good tips or places when I get there I will get in touch
