    Can we keep the run going?! 8 wins in the last 9 PL games makes this an incredible run, one of the best I can remember us going on in a long time!

    The win and style of play against Villa gave everyone a lift. It was great to see us play well. WBA will be a different challenge though. Their home record is 3 losses, 1 draw, and 2 wins, with the losses coming against Stoke, Utd, and Liverpool.

    Our away form has been a revelation so far this season, 6 games, 1 loss, 1 draw and 4 wins. The team is playing with confidence and determination and it's showing, all the way from the keeper to the strikers. It's great to see the team play as a speedy, efficient unit, and having a core consisting of a good keeper, two good defenders/midfielders/strikers means we're looking particularly strong at the moment. It also allows the wingers and full backs to use their pace, which is something they have in abundance.

    On current form you'd have to expect Spurs to win. However, despite our form, I never expect us to win, and I don't think tomorrow's game will be easy. They'll get in our faces and try to stop us playing, probably packing the midfield. A win for us would be another brilliant result and would keep us moving nicely.

    COYS!!

    Another tough test, team must be brimming full of confidence. If it’s the same team with no injuries I’ll go with a hard fought 2-1 win. Fancy Rafa to bang in the winner.

    No reason why we shouldn't be getting 3 points tomorrow. With our current form, there's very few teams that should be taking points from us. I know we are away, and WB have been doing well this season, but i'd be fairly confident tomorrow. 3-1 to us is my guess.

    Nice to have a Saturday game for a change as well.

    Yeh, pity it wasn't on the tellibox!

    Be great to keep the run going. I guess taking every weekend on it's own merits we should be hoping for 3 points here and hope for a slip from two or three from the rest of the top 7.

    should win this or at least a draw.

    Utd/Newcastle & City/Liverpool playing this weekend so that's two teams at least going to drop points. Could be a good weekend for us.

    be nice if pool v city was a draw , newcastle arent going to worry us , they will slowly hurtle towards mid table.

    Hoping for the 3 points and as said on current form we should be picking them up. However we never have it easy at the Hawthorns and expect a hard fought game here with a positive 2-1 fingers crossed.

    VDV & JD are both doubts.
    If so, play sandro and give Modric a free role ?

    for sure. in away games i think this is a very good idea.

    sandro and parker would make our midfield very tough to get through. let luca play off adebayour

    Hopefully one of them will be fit. I'm not Pav's biggest fan, but how do you reckon he'd play alongside Adebayor? I think he could do quite well there with him and I'd be loathe to change the midfield when we have a sometimes capable striker available.

    a very solid 5 man mid-field with parker and sandro in the middle looks the best option if both defoe and vdv are unfit,the pace of lennon and bale would be well used and here's hoping adebayor's confidence is back on track after mondays brace v aston villa.
    i'll go for a 2-0 win,adebayor to get both again

    Harry will end up playing Pav up front with Ade, when most of us think it should be Sandro in the middle with Parker ... Modric floating about ..

    It will be a tough place to get a win from but expect to come away with atleast a draw and hope for a win

    I'd rather a City win. Highly unlikely that we will be fighting with City come the end of the season.

    That would be my choice.

    Spurs playing very well and should score 2-3 goals. We find it hard to keep a clean sheet and WBA are fair at home so 3-1 to Spurs.

    Game will be live on tv at Evergreen Bar, Turners Cross, Cork.

    3-1 to the Lilywhites!

    Allot of 3-1's in this thread. Worth a punt maybe :)

    These are the games that get united most of their points each year winning against the bottom half teams. If we are to have any aspirations we need to win this game.

    Just heard this stat on football focus:

    Most headed clearances in the league? Younes Kaboul! :cool:

    Sandro for Modric(illness) and Defoe for VDV(Hamstring)

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

    Here's our starting XI at WBA -
    Friedel;
    Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto;
    Lennon, Parker, Sandro, Bale;
    Adebayor, Defoe.

    Here are our subs at WBA - Cudicini, Bassong, Fredericks, Gallas, Livermore, Pienaar, Kane.

    Sandro is a great replacement to have in midfield but he's not Modric this will be really interesting now I really hope we can win this.

    Love to see Kane scoring.

    We've lost a lot of creativity with Modrid and VDV gone, so i hope we can still do well. Sandro is great, but as above, he's not Modric. Defensivly we should still be fine, and hopefully Defoe will have a good game.

    Come on Spurs!!

    couple of the kids on the bench

    Tottenham: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Parker, Sandro, Bale, Adebayor, Defoe. Subs: Cudicini, Gallas, Bassong, Livermore, Kane, Pienaar, Fredericks

    Is Modric Injured? I can see allot of traffic going down the wings. I'd happily take 1-0 win now.

    Modric and Charlie are ill. But I don't know where Pav is I know he had some back problems so that could be keeping him out

    Choice of streams here

    As Kiith said that's the majority of our creativity gone with VDV and Modric, which will make winning this game all the more difficult. I can't see this being 3 - 1 to Spurs now!

    We'll be well strong in the middle and still have the pace down the wings, plus hopefully Defoe will be out to prove a point and will score a couple.

    Decent stream here;
