Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

I'm trying to set up an existing ireland.com email account on a Vodafone HTC Sensation smart phone with the IMAP protocol. This email account was previously successfully set up on a Blackberry.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dropped ireland.com's support digitalworx an email around this time yesterday but have yet to receive a response.

    Thanks.

This is the response which was received eventually from ireland.com/digitalworx
    Good Afternoon

Here are the full settings - they are specific to the iPhone but will contain
    the same information:

Go to settings, then go to mail, contacts calendars

    Click add a/c

    Click other

    click add mail a/c

    then

    Name: yourname
    Address: yourname@ireland.com
    Password: your password
    Description: is automatically populated

    Click save.

On the next screen you need to enter in

    Incoming mail server

    Hostname: imap.ireland.com
Username: yourlogonname (dont include @ireland.com on this part)

    Outgoing Mail server

    Hostname: smtpx.ireland.com

You dont need to re enter your username or password

    Hit save
The trick was actually to leave the protocol as 'pop' and still use the imap server address. I think that I also went with the full email address as the username. Hope this will be of use to someone else in a similar situation.
