    Hi,

I was just browsing the bargains forum and I saw something about 10% off biscuits and sweets in tesco or something like that, and it struck me as being quite a tragic thread. So, what are your nominations for the most tragic discussions on boards? I don't mean literally tragic i.e. someone died and then the hearse they were in ran over a small child...but something tragic haha! You know, the good type.

    Do a search for "IBTL".

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I can see how you might think that as tragic, why would anyone pay for only 90% of a biscuit or a sweet

The most tragic ones I've seen are the weekly Late Late show ones in the Television forum. There's a regular group on there who watch the show religiously just to complain about it.

Staying in every Friday to watch something you hate is pretty tragic and some of them seemingly have an obsession with it and/or Ryan Tubridy.

so you want a thread where all the bad threads get told about, seemed like a good idea didnt it :o

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,885 ✭✭✭Optimalprimerib

Any of the who's your favourite poster threads stink of tragedy. Anyone that starts them could discover the cure for cancer and still get no respect from me

Threads about/started by losers sitting in drinking while on boards on a weekend night. Sad.

Really? You thought it was that funny? I actually felt sorry for the guy for posting in the wrong forum and all he wanted was help from others but got a load of smart arses trying to be funny. Not funny in my book.

Match day threads are pretty tragic. Posting up the ooh's and aah's of near misses, bad tackles, and wonderful goals seems really strange to me, all whilst watching the game! Half the action surely is missed by doing this.

Ah, come on. This happens regularly. People get in a few mild jibes and then it's relocated. No harm.

This is what makes people not stick around. They come on here for help and a load of knobs make them feel like an idiot instead of pointing them in the right direction.

Anything in Christianity or Cycling or Airsoft. Full of angry people with no lives complaining about how they hate the world and everything in it.

Oh come on, I'll agree that sometimes people will go out of their way to belittle or poke fun at somebody, sometimes it's warranted, sometimes it's not, but in this case the poster didn't bother about learning how to use the forum and where to post ( it's not hard) and people had a laugh, and was taken in good spirits...

If people are going to be lazy/ sensitive on a message board and leave because of something like that, well then so be it... it's the internet.

The most tragic posts are lame political humour quips e.g

Post 1 : Hi guys i'm wondering if anybody can reccomend any good Cowboy movies or TV programs as i love westerns.

"Hillarious" reply : How about turning on the news to get a look at the cowboys running this country.

    How original. Fuck off.
