Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

My wife has dropped some hints that she would like an Epilator (amongst others :)) as a Christmas present. Rather than just buy a random one online I'm looking for some recommendations from you all?

    Much appreciated.

Braun silk épil is a good one, I used it for a few years, but be warned removing hair with epilators involve some pain. I went back to shaving in the end.

I was thinking of getting one. Is it really that painful? Is it worth the pain? oakshade, I wouldn't buy one for her if I was you, it's usually best to let the woman pick these things cause if she's not happy with it you'll be the one to blame :)

I have a Philips Satin Perfect that my OH bought me last Christmas and I adore it - use it all the time! It has a big head and lots of attachments so it does loads of different things.

If she is looking for one then go ahead and buy her one, it's painful the first few times you use it but you get used to it very fast and it's not as sore as waxing (if she is used to this!). I think it was around the €90/€100 mark and he got it in Boots but I have seen them online since.
