Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all.

Looking for a good set of headphones for my brother for Christmas! My budget is €100-€150 but I might stretch it for a good set.

I have been reading this forum and have been looking at the following sets.

    These

    Or these

Is there a big difference between the two?

He will be mostly using them at his PC at home, listening to music. Has anybody any other suggestions? Preferably from Amazon cause I'm ordering a few other things and I know I wont get hit for any extra tax.

The second option. Sennheiser HD 25-1 II

They have the cord only on one side, and the headband looks a lot more comfy.

I'd go with the second option 2

If it was only between these two I would also go for the 2nd but to be honest for what you are describing I wouldn't buy either of these. The HD25-1 are great headphones but they really are designed for DJing or production use - I've had a set for several years now and love them when it comes to DJing but never use them for just listening to music... they have quite a tight fit (so as not to fall off when DJing etc) and as such can become uncomfortable, also a tad sweaty on the ears from the material used combined with the tight fit.

What would I buy? I dunno, with your budget probably something like the Grado SR80i or maybe something from AKG.
