Fuelcell showed up as 145 originally and now show as 174 in the order summary

Dunno I had no hassle just ordered a few mins ago, maybe give it another go. 138 plus delivery with delivery date by 26 Feb i think, hopefully its not fastway or they'll end up in someone else's green bin and I won't be worrying about any "house mate" raised eyebrows

Ready 2 Run selling the Endorphin Speed for €156. Ordered a pair, gonna sort payment today

That’s a great deal on them. They’re 180 quid most places

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,052 ✭✭✭✭event

Yeah gave them a call there. He gave them to me for €160 including postage. Thats €20 cheaper than the run hub, who I usually buy from. Hopefully have them Tuesday at the latest.

I wont be wearing them until the weather dries up. So maybe for a week in June

Managed to get the endorphin speeds from pure running up the north. What are the pros like in comparison to the speed?

Thanks for the tip, got delivered this morning for €160, great deal in fairness given they're €180 elsewhere, that's if you can even find them.

These are my 2nd pair (I've nearly 600KM on the first ones) and comparing the two theres minimal wear on the rubber but quite a difference in squidginess (technical term!) of the foam, reckon they'll easily do another couple of hundred kms, albeit probably better for easier going long runs.

Nike Invincible shoes have finally been released. Let's see if they were worth the wait

Anyone have experience with ARRIGO BELLO shoes? What is the quality like?

I'm looking at a pair from amazon for £30. Just unsure about the quality.

Fuelcell TC just arrived. A bit more pink than the red they looked on the website but sure for the price I’m not complaining!

Anyone on this thread interested in free Hickies laces? Got them as an experiment to replace laces on my Vomeros but ended up reverting to traditional laces (parallel lacing made a big difference).

I think someone mentioned they were looking for Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit, I see a pair popped up in adverts size 10.5.

Would anyone recommend Saucony Guide 13 support runners for a beginner? <5k runs on road only. Local specialist shop has a deal on them at the moment.

I had a test run in Nike Invincible today. I'm not sure what to make of them yet. You do get a bit of that Vaporfly feel but they aren't made for speed, in fact the opposite. They are a bit clunky and soft. I got them for recovery runs and shakeouts so I think they'll do the job.

    Hi

Looking for runner recommendations . I run about 25-30 miles a week and not planning on doing anything more then a half distance this year . I normally run in Pegasus 35s - my last reserve pair - are sadly at end of life . I didn’t like the 36s hence my 35 back log . I got the 37s at Christmas and they are too roomy and my Achilles aches wearing them . ( I gave them to my 12 year old) So randomly I bought a pair of hoka Cliftons. They seem ok so far - jury’s out on the toe box . However I’d like to treat myself to another pair of runners - I keep eying up the Nike next tempos . I’m not a fast runner so they may be a waste of money . I’d like something like Pegasus only maybe more like the turbos .

    Any suggestions please ?

Novablast? Might want to go half a size down as I did compared to my Nike size.

Hi. Same with the pegs - liked the 35, didn't like the 36. I didn't bother with the 37. Also, got Hoka Cliftons but kept them for walking in the end just couldn't find any love for running in them. Currently I like doing easy runs in Brooks Ghost 13 or the Nike React Miler. Nothing fancy about either of these but I enjoy running in them for easy runs. Actually I've done sessions / tempos in them too and they're ok - for me I reckon my faster pace is another persons easy pace anyhow.

I also have Nike Pegasus Turbo 2 which are a bit lighter for faster running but I preferred the previous version, I've mixed feelings about the 2, so I'm slow to recommend it. The tongue is annoyingly thin and doesn't sit right - I usually find I have to close these a couple of times to get the right snugness. The original was a super shoe :(

Reebox Floatride Energy 2.0 is a great little shoe too and very reasonably priced though it's nothing special to look at. Mine are past their use by date but it's a shoe I'd buy again to have in rotation. There is a 3rd version out now too but I have no experience of it.

Of course the Saucony Endorphin Speed seems to be the popular shoe choice lately so that's a consideration - it has a nylon plate, definitely for sessions & tempos.

I'd read up reviews and see what you think might suit. I spend half my life on this site.

I did a 7 mile easy run in them today and found that my pace increased. Not sure if it was the shoes themselves or just the new shoe feeling. They seem to push my feet forward quite a bit. I'm very happy with them, super cushioned.

This is in the Gear & Equipment subforum of the Athletics & Running forum, so it's on the more specific end. Though I find my Nike React Miler's are great day to day shoes, if that helps?!

I'll echo the positive vibes for the Nike React Miler, very comfy, perfect for easier runs.

Thanks - I’ve had them in my Nike basket for a few weeks . I should have bought Sunday with 20% off but wasn’t too sure . ! Hopefully there will be another sale soon - I think Nike are due one !

Cheers - I’m allergic to ghost - got a calf strain a few years back wearing them - probably not the shoes fault but just can’t seem to buy again.

I’m waiting for the Nike sale - with A very full basket . I’ll have to start getting runners delivered to the neighbours so I can sneak them upstairs !

The Saucony Endorphin Speed have really peaked my interest but seem to be sold out in the usual haunts . I might call run hub in the mornings and see if they are getting back in soon . Any idea of the sizing in Saucony?

Thanks again for your suggestions !

Runhub have all sizes of speeds on the website now. I’d suggest ringing ready2run Tullamore if you’re looking for a pair though, 20 quid cheaper then the runhub. OP above suggested

I got them in the same size I wear all my shoes, EU40, and they seem fine quite roomy even but I haven't worn them running yet - they are far too bright and the roads are manky dirty around here between the rain and farmers spreading slurry. The joys of country living :( I'm no rush to wear them, they'll probably be a shoe for races whenever they happen again. I got them on AllTricks.com a few weeks back for €144 - that is the most I've never spent on a pair of shoes, I don't think I'd have justified full price at the moment with no races.

I don't think you'll regret picking up a pair of the React Milers but you're right to wait for a sale on those.
