Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Haven't played AC:R yet but I usually rent it at Xmas and play it through in 2/3 days, can't to that with Skyrim, you'll be playing for months, it's epic

I'm after putting nearly 30 hours into Skyrim so far and feel I ha so much mroe to do.

I'd highly recommend it if your into that genre of games but also as a casual gamer you could very easily get lost in it.

    Its brillant.

Skyrim has reafirmed my love of single player games.

As awesome as Demons Souls and Darksouls are, they can be more than a little stressful at times and you really need to be in the right frame of mind.
Skyrim i can jump into at any time and off i go on my insanely massive adventure.
I've done feck all of the main story and everytime i try to knuckle down and say to myself, right i'm off to visit the Greybeards to advance the story, i invariably get caught up in someone elses troubles and feel compelled to help out.

I'm probably not the best person to comment on an AC game as i have yet to finish one.

I cannot praise Skyrim enough, Bethesda have come on leaps and bounds since Oblivion making the game much more accessible to the more casual RPG gamer such as myself.

Rolli - these really are two very different games.

Assassins Creed R - consider getting this 2nd hand or platinum - if the series holds true this will be the type of game you can put in the odd half an hour or just finish in a few days easy play unless you go searching for all the extras.

Skyrim - this game is really a replacement for any type of normal life you may have. If you get it expect to get sucked in and lose whole days exploring - either on the main quest or on side quests.

It really comes down to the type of gameplay and style you are looking for.
Both are good - but Skyrim is great (or at least that is what I am telling myself until I can get it...)

I agree. Two days last week I started the game when I came home from work and finished up playing close to 3am.

Do not get skyrim if you have a boss that does not like you coming to work late :-)

Do you need to have played oblivion, or the previous games? thats the only thing putting me off getting this game, It'll annoy me if I dont know whats going on from the start.

    Looks great though..

SKYRIM still not working for me :(

What problem are you having with it, maybe I can help? Just installed it last night and loving it!
I had played it on laptop previously, much faster on ps3.
If anyone knows how, I would love to copy save games from pc to ps3!

I am on 1.0, should i update now or wait for 1.3?

For anyone having lag issues on the ps3, I found a bit of a fix on one of the gaming sites. Just go into the game settings and turn off all the autosave options(on travel, wait and rest i think). This made a huge difference to my 60gb fat ps3 so it seems to work for some people. They also recommended going through your skyrim save files from your ps3 xmb and deleting any corrupt data files. I found two.

You Must remember to save the game regularly though, thats the only catch.
Im on level 50 with 120ish hours play.

most laptops would struggle to play it.

the saves are incompatible..2 different formats. You'll have to start from scratch im afraid:D

It'll be worth the wait, this is one of the best games I've ever played. Seriously amazing.

i'd wait, the last patch fixed some performance but mess up the game more than it fixed.

I'm waiting for it and only played a day or too since the last patch.
