Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

game looking for system upgrade before i can play it

    ok got need for speed the run and when i put in disc it says my software is version 3.55 and that i must uodate to version 3.72 or later
    ok just accepted update is this software on the disc
    im confused ?

    I don't know if it's on the disk or not, but you won't be able to play it until you do a system update.

    3.55 you say, some people would be interested in a system like that.

    ok i followed the on screen prompts and its seems the update software is on the disc. this was news to me didnt know the ps3 could be updated this way.
    its now updated to version 3.72 just by updating from the disc without being connected to the internet at all yet.

    its all a learning curve for me
    just bought the 320gb as as far as i know its just more memory
    hardrive storage space

    Its always sad when people don't realise what they had
    are you saying i should not of updated ?
    or just funny i dont know about the software ?

    lol ps3's with 3.55 on them can be hacked your ps3 was potentially worth 3-400 euro

    The 3.55 firmware was the last version that could be hacked before Sony decided to put a stop to it. PS3's with that firmware are few and far between these days and are wanted by people to install custom firmware so they can run stuff that I dont think I'm allowed to talk about.
