I have one of these on order now for pickup. What is it like? Does it seem sturdy ? I'm looking for it for my soon to be 2 year old and at that price it seems good value. Other dolls houses have shown up at approx 150 euro.. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

I sent himself in the other day to get this, I had reserved it the previous day.
My friend then phoned to say it was on shop floor at that new price, but I presumed she was talking about a smaller one.
I am disgusted that he was charged the €84.99!!!
    The website clearly states
"Please note that our prices change, sometimes on a daily basis. The price you pay is the price in store on the day you collect your items."
I am going back tomorrow, hopefully, to get half my money back:mad:

I got mine in Limerick Argos, I saw it in brochure for €42.50 but when I reserved it, it came up as € 84 so I rang shop before I went in and they said to bring in brochure and they would stand by the cheaper price, however when I went in to collect it, they just charged me the €42.50 no questions or arguments

I got it out of a sale brochure valid until 6 /12/11. Haven't opened up the house yet but it looks grand and comes with furniture

Update: manager says never was €42.50, won't do anything blah blah blah
They will give me back full refund though, if I can buy it cheaper elsewhere, I will.
So can anybody describe brochure that house is in?
Or Magiceye can you tell me where you bought it?
@Lauradin- I had a look at a couple of sale brochures valid til 06/12 and couldnt find house

I got mine in Limerick, Crescent SC. It actually came up at €42.50 on the computer screen much to my surprise (I had the brochure with me just in case) as I had reserved it at €84.99.

It's in the toy brochure (the red one) and it says prices valid until the 6th December, the house is on page 6 (i have a copy of the page but cannot attach it now).

A friend of mine got one yesterday and she was told the price was €84.99 but they gave it to her for €42.50 when she said it was reserved at that price (even though that price was never shown online).

    Hope this helps.

    Magic

There were 2 different sale brochures in store both valid from 23/11 to 6/12, the doll house was actually in both. In one it was reduced to 84.99 but in the other book which was a thinner one( only 13 pages) and just all toys ( red cover with 'up to half price toy sale') the house is on page 6 and reduced from €169.99 to €42.50 ! We did notice a couple of other price differences between other toys that were on both books, hope this helps, I don't see any brochure number on the cover just the dates

Hi, I don't know if it would be ok for a child just under 2, little pieces & all that.

Grand thanks, I was thinking if I did get it, that I could take most of the furniture out for now. Has anyone set this up or seen it set up? Would Barbie furniture fit into it ok? I have lots of that (but no house) but it's so hard to tell from just the few pictures. How sturdy does it feel? I have re-ordered one again as keep changing my mind on this so any feedback would be great : ) thanks

Yay, went back, picked up brochure and went to cust. service desk.
The girl had to confirm it with the "oul wan" from yesterday, but she ok'd it.
She went bright red, an apology would have been nice but anyway,
    I'm happy:D
    Thanks boardsies

Went into the Cavan shop yesterday and was told they had no stock but these would be back in on Saturday. Got a text today to say it was in. Went to the counter and was told it was €85. Showed the ad and got it for the €42.50.

I know nothing about doll's houses but it looks like a good present. Comes in 2 boxes so must be a fair bit to it.

Cheers to the OP - picked up the last one at Liffey Valley. Definitely a lot bigger than your average €50 dolls house.

I went in to buy it and was told it was €85 and that was that.

How did you get it for €42

One of the small sales booklets has "Up to 50% off kids toys" on the front. There's a picture of Minny Mouse on it too. It's on one of the pages in that at the €42.50. Go back and tell them other stores are selling it at €42.50. Cavan sold me one and the girl there remarked she had sold another one earlier.

The sales booklets should still be in-store as the one I picked up was still there today.

Can you find the sales brochures on line? Has anyone set up the house yet? Would the barbie furniture fit into it ? I am tempted to get one but my much older daughter (18) keeps putting me off saying it probably won't fit the Barbie furniture and I should hold off til another time and just buy a barbie house.. Any thoughts??

Liffey valley refused to sell me one at €42.50 this morning :(
Sale catalogue they have doesn't have the house in it, I'm so upset as when we seen this deal we really thought we could afford to buy for our daughter for Christmas

Thanks magic Eye. Collected my daughter's doll's house at €42.50. Was told price was defo €84 as online/ brochure reduction. I searched in-store for the small red brochure (13 pages) and found bargain price on page 6.

    Hi all,

glad to see some people managed to get it for 42.50, it seems to be of good quality, reviews say it will accommodate 13inch dolls so here's me hoping the Barbie dolls will fit in it just fine...

I have attached page 6 of the toys brochure, maybe someone can get some good out of it if Argos refuse the lower price, it should be valid until 6th December anyway...

    Magic.

Does it have an expiry date on the brochure for the offer ?
Instore told me today to produce the brochure and the date and they would see what hey could do, but I don't have a brochure, if there is an expiry date printed on it, maybe I could show it

They have two sale catalogues at as other posters have mentioned its listed as €42.50 only in the red one (bad catalogue pic attached - see post 29 for an image of page). I got mine in liffey valley yesterday - I just walked up with the catalogue in hand.
