Laptop screen freezes and goes fuzzy

    Hi all,

    Have an Acer Aspire 6920 and over the last few days the screen on it freezes and it goes fuzzy for no reason. Below is a picture.
    Anyone have any idea what it might be?

    does the whole laptop lock up when this happens or is it just the screen that's doing it?

    The whole laptop freezes, the only was to shut it down is to unplug it

    can you hook your laptop up to an external display like a pc monitor or tv?and see if the same problem exists.it might be a loose connection or it could be a problem with the on board video card
