    Its just a hobby, and as I dont regularly meet up with others I usually play along to backing tracks, so I am a bit detached from actual real live musos!!!

    Hey,

    not bad playing at all.
    I would suggest moving away from the F# a bit more, so try changing poisitions, and using an A or C# istead of the F# a little just to change it up a bit.

    all in all your phrasing is good and the playing is fairly tight

    Thanks for the ideas, I think I fall into the usual trap of trying to stay safe, and also getting stuck in a rut sometimes, without having bandmates etc to sound off of!

    I thought it was bitchin' man. Really enjoyed it. Thought there was a real Satriani kind of vibe off it in parts (but without sounding like just an imitation).
