Pregnant Dog?

    Hi, I have a West Highland Terrier (2 years) and about 5 weeks ago she went into heat and breed with our other older West Highland Terrier (9 years) I'm not sure if she she is pregnant - she seemed to get broader but I'm not definate if she is pregnant! Any tips of knowing if she is pregnant? Should i be able to tell by looking at her?

    A trip to your vet should give you your answer. Maybe you could also discuss spaying or neutering one of your animals to prevent any future accidents.

    :( Your dog needs to see a vet.

    Pregnant bitches need a lot of dietary support and there are all manner of health complications she could run into. The vet will be able to tell you if she's pregnant and will be able to tell you how to manage it.

    Well if it wasn't accidental then why not ask the vet who checked your bitch was in full health before you allowed her to become pregnant.
