[Steam] Sins of a Solar Empire, Expacs failing to load

    Hoping to find some help, since google isn't, haven't been able to find a thread on the various support/fan sites that has the same problem.

    Basically, got SoaSE on Steam during the sale. When you click play, three option come up, do you want to play vanilla, Entrenchment, or Trinity.
    Only vanilla will work. Entrenchment and Trinity just fail to load. No error messages or anything. The Steam "starting game" splash comes up, then dissappears again and the cpu idles down. With task manager open, the exe for sins doesn't actually seem to boot, at least it doesn't appear in the processes list.

    So, anyone have any ideas?

    Was it just sins of a solar empire on it's own you bought or was it Trinity? The other two are expansion packs so you need to buy the Trinity version for that.

    It was the trinity version. At least, in the games list it's "SoaSE - Trinity".
