Not a RROD scenario here, there's simply not a jolt out of the old girl. Was playing nicely earlier in the day, went to spark it up a few minutes ago and the console won't power up. Any ideas what as to what could be the cause?

if its not powering up at all have a look at your power brick,
if there is a orange light it means the brick is working and the xbox is screwed,
if there is a red or no light there is a problem with the brick,

if you stil under guarantee give microsoft a call and get it sorted by them

I'd nearly put money on it being a damaged usb port or a piece of plastic jamming the power plug in the back

just because your getting a red light dosent mean that the power brick is screwed
and just because your getting a orange light dosent mean the xbox is screwed.

The xbox is screwed when your getting a green light on the power brick for a split second and then it turns orange again

Check the PSU Anyway, if theres not light it could be an issue with the power supply. Try the console on a friends PSU, that would answer alot of questions.
