    The nVidia GeForce GT 555M has nVidia Optiums on it, which is a technology that can turn off the graphics card completely when it's not needed.

    So to check is the proper graphics card in there you need to get the laptop to turn your dedicated graphics card on.
    To do this I ran a GPU benchmark called CINEBENCH 11.5 then opened CPU-Z while the benchmark was running.
