Where did that rain come from?
Even the weather forecast after the 3pm news on the radio said "some drizzle in the north west" with no mention of all the rain that came down the midlands and east.

Raining here, not light either. According to the old mans car it's in or around 10 degrees, light breeze.

    Misty and breezier here now.

    Indeed.

On July 21st the max here was 12.3C (and at Met Eireann, Casement, 13.3C)

So, the 21st of December 2011 was milder than the 21st July 2011!

I wonder if that's some sort of record?

Your graphs show a nice Föhn effect during the afternoon, with a marked rise in temperature and windspeed coinciding with a fall in dewpoint.

The overnight temperature at Roebourne Airport dropped to just 27.4C t at 5.32am.

Pilbara residents are sweating through another scorcher today after yesterday's stifling near-50C heat.

By 10am, at least two centres, Mardie and Onslow Airport, had topped 46C. By 11am, Onslow Airport had reached 47.5C.

Just after midday the temperature had nudged past 48C at both spots.

Onslow resident Megan Walsh said while she was used to the hot temperatures, having lived in the region for five years, it was scorching in the sun.

"It's like it burns you as soon as you walk outside," she said
