    Temp appears to have topped out at 10.8C; earlier sunshine replaced by mainly cloudy - I guess without that wind pushing warm air from the South it starts to cool down in these northern climes.

    Still calm.

    Definitely more Meh than June now.

    The squall line went through north sligo about an hour ago. Very strong gusts and heavy rain . Completely calm and dry now. Winds dropped from gale force to calm in about 10 minutes.

    Torrential rain a couple of minutes ago. Still moderate. Rain was bad enough to knock of satellite signal. That has only happened once before and that time the satellite dish was in need of realignment!

    23:30 radar returns on net weather radar confirm a thin band of white returns (greater than 32mm/per hour) passed over me and to about 20km to my south west.....explains the severe rain so!

    No!

    Started to rain here about 11.45pm, nothing much yet 0.8mm - though Met Eireann radar shows pink shades now well out into the Irish Sea.

    Not very windy either. 8kph/gusts 25kph.

    Temp has dropped to 9.4C.

    Vicious gusts and torrential rain here in Donegal Town. Just left work on the pier and water is very high with still 2 hours to high tide of 4.1m
