Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

buying cheap musical instruments online?

    Hi guys :D

My best friend is living in auckland and she's really into music. She couldn't bring her keyboard with her when she emigrated and she cant afford to buy one there (as far as I understand, they are a fair bit more expensive there than they are in Ireland?). Soooooo...... I was thinking of buying her one for christmas!

I've looked online for online nz music shops but the prices seem to be outlandish, a very basic keyboard that would only cost 50 euro here would cost near enough to 200 NZD :( Can anyone suggest somewhere I could order online to deliver to nz at a relatively reasonable cost? It wouldn't matter if it was second hand etc.

    Thanks :D

www.trademe.co.nz, of course! The Kiwi version of ebay, but better.

However you do need to be living in NZ to use it, so you may need to do a deal with her to make the transaction.

They are very expensive here you're dead right. I'm a keyboard player and it took me ages to find decent quality pro keyboards, its just a very small market and has obviously large transport costs to get stuff here. I play in bands so need expensive gear, i'm guessing she's learning if you're looking in the $200 range, these guys are good and ship nationwide http://www.themusicwarehouse.co.nz/ or if you want to go second hand Trademe as advised above is great.

    Hi All,

I thought this link might help, Giggidy Music are Irish based and allow users to buy and sell your musical equipment via their website for FREE (First 500 Ads).

You might find something useful there!
