Its only a few days away :D . Ill get the ball rolling. This years free agents are nothing special but next year could be amazing.

Chris Paul went public today declaring he wants to be traded to the Knicks. Dont hold your breath though. New York doesnt have the players to trade away so look for him to be traded elseware or to remain a Hornet for the rest of the year and sign with the Knicks then.

Interestingly apparently he reached out to Dwight Howard during the summer asking him to play together.

Clips, Warriors, Celtics in Paul trade talks

As a neutral, would love to see CP3 go to the Clippers, would be so much fun watching him and Blake Griffin playing together.

Its a realistic possibility. They have the cap space to trade for Paul this offseason and pay for Howard in Free agency or vice versa.

Actually the Clippers would make perfect sense for CP3. They have a ton of cap space, a ton of young talent, and an incredible trading chip, because they have Minnesota's 1st Round pick this year and it isn't lottery protected. Should be interesting to see what happens either way!

Lakers, Rockets, Hornets talking three-way Chris Paul trade

Knicks nearing deal to land Chandler

So after all the talk about competitive balance, the NBA is going to send Chris Paul to the Lakers?

Shane Battier announces he will sign with the Heat

Ric Bucher has an article today on rule changes: NBA set to implement rule changes. I'm glad they're curtailing that move where players try and draw a shooting foul when they weren't really shooting, wasn't good to watch.

The new CBA changed nothing as to regards ludicrous contracts. Tayshaun Prince is about to sign a four year, $27 million dollar deal to stay with Detroit.

Also on the CP3 deal. The part that I can't figure out is what young players/picks the Lakers & Rockets have that New Orleans would want.
