This is a copy of what they will go through..

I know that TB and HIV are the big ones that you don't want to have.

This condition might be fine, if it's well controlled.
    Good luck.

It is a straight 2 year VISA...

Is this a question from your local pub quiz?

Lets have a look at What's New for Working Holiday Visa's because if there was a new type of visa there would be a media release. Nope nothing there sorry Buddy.

Yep, I agree with Mellor and Mandrake. It sounds like a lot of pub talk to me.

OP - I can't really help with personal experience but generally illness in and of itself won't stop you. If it's well controlled and in their opinion you won't be a burden on the health system during your time here then you should be ok. You'll probably have to do a few extra tests and get a report on your condition from a nephrologist but the illness itself may not prevent you from getting a visa.

    Best of luck with it.

You usually don't need a medical for a sponsored 457 visa anyway, different story if it is permanent residence as a medical is mandatory. Even then your average run of the mill medical condition type thing (diabetes, asthma, psoriasis) is not a show stopper but a condition that could cost a bit of money to medicare for ongoing treatment would be the stumbling block.

If you are on a 457 you would be paying for Doctor visits, specialist visits, and any non-emergency treatment.
