CCC not launching

    Well I guess its AMD CC now but I cant get the GPUs control panel to launch. It's been that way for months I reckon, but now that I've just installed the 2nd 5770 and am preparing to delve into Crossfire, this is really an issue now since I have no way to perform tweaks if I can't even get the driver panel to run.

    even after running dwiver sweeper and CCleaner I can't seem to get the damn thing to run. At one point I just gave up on it and decided to try to give Metro 2033 another chance, but that kept crashing. I tried it again and when it asked me to run in safe mode I stupidly clicked yes and it sent me to an unsupported resolution and locked it in.... fortunately my PCs all run logmein even though I almost never have to use it. But when I do, isn't it just amazing. Laptop managed to coax the PC out of 1024x768, but I am still no closer to figuring out why the AMD/Catalyst Control Panel refuses to run.

    reinstall ms visual c++ redist 2010

    Then re-install the latest drivers. 11.11c are the current latest.

    just the 2010 I hope? I have 20 redistributables installed :c

    Yeah I think so. Might not be bad to do 2008 & 2005 too if you feel like it :)

    well whatever, I just reformatted windows. That did the trick!

    Looking at the new AMD Control Center, I think it was AMD Overdrive that might have been stopping it up: previously it was a standalone program that I wasnt uninstalling... oh well.
