Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A question on nVidia Tegra, ARM architecture, and future gaming.

It is rumoured the follow-up to the recently released Asus Tranformer Prime will ship with Windows 8, and when this is paired with a dock it essentially becomes a Macbook Air form factor netbook for a fraction of the price.

Due to this I have been wondering whether or not existing Windows games will run on it - or whether compatibility on legacy games will be limited because of Nvidia Tegra's ARM architecture differing from x86 or x64.

Even if this is the case, perhaps we can soon expect to find mainstream games as widely available in an ARM version as they currently are for x86 and x64 versions?

ARM stuff wont run on x86 kit without being emulated. I suppose very old games could run ok emulated. Existing code could be recompiled for ARM though (and in fact games that have been released as open source, like Quake 3, have been).
